SpaceX set to launch Falcon 9 rocket with 23 Starlink satellites

Launch scheduled for Sunday, August 6 at 10:41 pm ET

Update: Launch time moved to 8:50 am ET

SpaceX is targeting Sunday August 6 at 1041 pm ET 0241 UTC on August 7 for a Falcon 9 launch of 22 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch. The launch was originally scheduled for June 6 but was postponed due to bad weather. SpaceX has also announced a new launch time for todays Starship Flight 4 which is now targeted for 850 am ET.

The Falcon 9 rocket will lift off from pad 40 at Cape Canaveral carrying 23 second-generation Starlink internet satellites. The Starlink constellation is designed to provide high-speed internet access to remote areas of the world. SpaceX has already launched over 1,700 Starlink satellites into orbit and the company plans to eventually launch thousands more.
