Raiders' Davante Adams Evaluated For Concussion After Big Hit
All-Pro Pass Catcher Departs Game In Fourth Quarter
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams is currently being evaluated for a concussion after taking a big hit in the fourth quarter of their Week 2 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The Raiders announced the news after the game, a 29-23 loss for Las Vegas.
Adams, who leads the Raiders with 20 receptions and 253 receiving yards this season, was injured on a hit by Cardinals safety Budda Baker. Adams was attempting to make a catch over the middle when Baker delivered a crushing blow, sending Adams to the ground. Adams was able to walk off the field under his own power, but he was immediately taken to the injury tent and later ruled out for the remainder of the game.
The Raiders' offense struggled without Adams on the field, as they managed just 51 total yards in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Derek Carr was sacked four times and threw an interception in the final period, as the Raiders failed to score any points and allowed the Cardinals to rally for the win.
