Luka Podolski Signs for Górnik Zabrze
Podolski Returns to Poland After 15 Years
Former German international Lukas Podolski has signed for Polish club Górnik Zabrze, the club announced on Wednesday. The 36-year-old left Turkish club Antalyaspor at the end of last season and has been a free agent since then.
Podolski Signs One-Year Deal
Podolski has signed a one-year deal with Górnik and will wear the number 10 shirt. He is expected to make his debut for the club in the Ekstraklasa, the top division of Polish football, on August 14 against Cracovia.
Podolski Has Scored 49 Goals for Germany
Podolski is one of the most decorated German players of all time. He won the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and the UEFA European Championship in 2008. He has also won the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and DFL-Supercup with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. Podolski has scored 49 goals in 130 appearances for the German national team.
